Cast of the Avengers Movie Feels Like It’s Missing Something

When I saw the confirmed list of actors and the characters they will be portraying in the upcoming Avengers film I couldn’t help but feel that the team seems rather strange to me.  Of course there is the obvious fact that Nick Fury and the Black Widow aren’t members of the Avengers, which is explained in the movies as the Avengers being a SHIELD project, but I don’t think that’s it.  It could also be the absence of Ant-Man and Wasp, but I don’t think it’s that either.  I think what bugs me about the ensemble is the lack of female characters in the group.

Captain America's Shield Makes Cameo in Iron Man?

Movie news site FirstShowing.net has noticed that in a scene from Iron Man what looks like Captain America’s shield can be seen on Tony Stark’s workbench.  Is it just a coincidence that the things on the desk look like Cap’s shield or was it purposely put there to further tie Marvel’s movies together?

I’m very sorry that April was a very post-less month, but that’s because all three of us have been swamped with work and been unable to attend to the blog.  To make it up to you, our beloved readers, we’re going to have a new post every day in the month of May (that rhymes!).  You can expect more of our opinionated views and elitist comments in the following weeks.

This post is coming a few weeks late but it needs to be made.  In my review of issue #555 I stated how I’m having a hard time seeing where the current Fantastic Four story arch fits into the Marvel continuity.  Well, this issue makes even less sense.
