Over at BloodyDisgusting.com they have a few pictures they took of AMC’s booth for the upcoming TV series Walking Dead, based on the zombie comic by Robert Kirkman. The booth seems to be a recreation of some sort of violent zombie apocalypse scenario. What I want to know is if this is representative of the level of violence the show is going to exhibit. Recently a group of fans released an 8-bit version of Left 4 Dead that is both faithful to the original game and to the NES era in general. All four of the original game’s characters and campaigns have been translated into 8-bit style, as well as the special infected. What really impressed me is the attention to detail such as including the first and second tier weapons, dual pistol wielding, midi versions of the game’s soundtrack such as the safehouse music, and the inclusion of a shove button. The whole package feels incredibly true to the original game and is really a sight to see. Due to technical limitations of the NES, however, the game is only playable by two players at most, but that shouldn’t be a dealbreaker. So definitely check out the game which is available free of charge at Epic Ruth Games.
Straight from Comic-Con, here’s the new redband trailer for the upcoming movie Quarantine. Sure, it’s a shot for shot remake of the Spanish movie REC but this movie has one HUGE difference… it’s in a language that I understand. So if you’re a fan of zombies, POV movies such as The Blaire Witch Project, Cloverfield, or Diary of the Dead (which I reviewed), outbreaks, blood, and all sorts of other great stuff check out this trailer over at IGN.
A new trailer for the upcoming movie Resident Evil: Degeneration was shown at Comic-Con and it looks pretty damn good.
A recent leak of upcoming game information from Activision contains good news for Marvel fans. Not only has the story for Ultimate Alliance 2 been revealed, but it also seems that a game based on the Marvel Zombies universe may be in the works.
